ISP Network
Lets take a look at the types of connections used by the various ISP's to connect us to the Internet. Internet Gateway It will help to understand what the Internet Gateway is when talking about how your ISP handles your connection. This term can be generic at times, but in this case it refers to the point at which your data is actually transfered to the Internet. When you send a request from your computer, it travels along your ISP's network to the Gateway. At the gateway, it leaves the ISP network and enters the Internet 'Cloud'.
