Using Ping to find an IP Address

In the Command Prompt Window, type 'ping google.com' and press enter.

Ping first reports back the name of the site you requested, and the IP address it was given by DNS.
The information that follows is the diagnostic information that ping was designed for. It basically tells you if the site responded, and how long it took. We are only looking for the IP address right now.
